In these tutorials i will teach you how to convert a template design to joomla. I assume you already know how to code html, css and to slice a psd for exporting images. Also most likely if you’re going to purchase this tutorial you probably know or tested most of joomla features, like creating articles, menus, working with modules or components.

This video tutorial is divided into 10 chapters, up to 1 hour and 26 minutes.

I tried to be as brief as possible and explain all this in a way that anybody could understand. Also I apologize in advance for my English. If you have questions, fell free to comment or send me an email through my user profile page.

THE VIDEO CHAPTERS :

  1. How to setup Joomla;
  2. How the template and it’s files & folder works;
  3. Tools that I recommend using;
  4. Starting preparing html and css code, building the main architecture of the website;
  5. Creating the index.php and inserting the positions inside the html blocks and their styles;
  6. Creating the xml file which will contain the key metadata of the template;
  7. Preparing all the files and creating the install package;
  8. Styling and filling with content inside the template
  9. Advanced joomla features like module layout overrides, custom module rendering, counting modules for proper and flexible display.
  10. Template parameters & styles, how you can assign template styles for different pages.

I have also included some excercise files.

Thank you!,
Marius Hogas
